May 18th Field Experience

FIELD EXPERIENCE NOTIFICATION

MONDAY, MAY 18TH

Dear Parents,

Room 6 students are continuing our yearlong study on water quality this Monday, May 18^th.  We will be visiting the Water Treatment plant on River Road.  All students must wear closed toe shoes on Monday.  This trip is paid for by the STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) Grant Ben and I are participating in this year.  

We are in need of a few brave parent volunteers this Monday.  We will leave school at 9:00 am and return by 11:00 am.  Hope to see you on Monday!

Next Generation Science Standards Addressed by this field experience:

**Obtain and combine information about ways individual communities use science ideas to protect the Earth’s resources and environment.

**Generate and compare multiple possible solutions to a problem based on how well each is likely to meet the criteria and constraints of the problem.

Friday May 15 ~ Jog-a-Thon and BBQ lunch, hope for good weather!

Monday May 25 ~ No School
Wednesday May 27 ~ Mayor visits room 6


This is our last week of testing.  Homework will be back beginning this Friday.  Have a wonderful week!
